Sign. Stamp. Repeat. Preppery for next week’s Blue Dome Art Festival in Tulsa, OK.
I’ll be secretly phasing out some pieces of art over the next two weeks, so that’s that. You won’t even notice.
If you’re around Tulsa, the festival is downtown from 11am-10pm on Friday and Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.

Not my usual Tumblr content, but I’ve been in hiding for weeks working on a commission for an advertising firm who wanted its logo interpreted into five different paintings for the office. They turned out well, considering the only two elements I had to work with were the company’s Ampersand logo and the “1974” year of establishment.
Each is 30”x30” and will occupy an expanse of wall in the firm’s Tulsa location.

Cain’s Ballroom Sign, Red
Jeff Mitchell, 2012The historic Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK has a long history that spans acts as markedly varied as Bob Wills and The Sex Pistols. For this, it’s a beloved landmark in the indie music scene. Cain’s is still a prominent rung on the musical ladder in the Midwest, with many indie bands paying dues each year on the legendary stage.
This print is available in either 12”x18” or 18”x24” sizes here. A treasure for indie audiophiles.
