You can now buy the three-part series of Lebowski prints with one, convenient purchase. I just added the collection to my shop today.
Also, I now take credit cards in my shop. Paypal be damned!
Prints listed from left to right:
“On Strikes and Gutters”
“Enlightenment Through Bowling”
“Parlance of Our Times”
I released my new card sets to my Etsy shop today. They’re actually mailable, if you know anyone who even uses the postal system anymore.
A set of nine cards measuring 4” x 6” each with art printed on the front only. Each card is based off one of my original pieces from my Big Lebowski series. If you poke around my shop for a few minutes, you’ll see them.
The Big Lebowski’s “Parlance of Our Times”
Jeff Mitchell, 2012
I’m only a few months late releasing this print. Had to rework several times. Add a ferret. Remove a ferret. The usual stuff.
I’m going to start carrying a few new Lebowski-related items in my shop. One of which is a card set based on my series of prints. The set will show up in the next few days, along with the newest print in the series based on John Goodman’s Walter character.
I’ll post a link here (and on Twitter) when the listing goes live.

I’ll probably work out a package deal for The Dude + Walter and another package for The Dude + Walter + Donny when I release this print.

On Strikes and Gutters
Jeff Mitchell, 2012
The moment I got my first run of Big Lebowski prints back from the printer, I knew I was going to create at least one more piece of art in the series. It just didn’t feel right to leave the Dude hanging as a solo piece. Unfortunately, other projects had been planned, so I had to leave the idea in pre-production for some time.
It’s always fun to release a new piece of art and see the feedback, both positive and negative. However, the anticipation is multiplied when the art is part of a series. There is something very attractive about being able to create a narrative that spans several paintings, that evolves over time.
I have several new pieces of art that I’ll be releasing over the next few weeks. I chose to lead with “On Strikes and Gutters” not because I think it’s the best, but rather because my own anticipation had built over the past few months. It’s going to be a very busy time, and I’ll try to stick to a schedule for art releases.
On Wednesday, we’re releasing the second print in the Big Lebowski series.
This art print features Donny, Steve Buscemi’s character from the movie, and is titled “On Strikes and Gutters”
It is a companion piece to the popular “Enlightenment Through Bowling” print released late last year.
It’s been a few weeks since we’ve released art into the wild, and we’re very excited. Follow us on twitter (@theboxingbear) to get immediate notification once the print goes up for sale. There is a very limited number being released this week.
What I’m Currently Working On:
This is a sneak peak at the second installment of The Big Lebowski series. The currently-untitled painting features Donny. Still not sure how many paintings will be in the series. Kickin’ around a few ideas for the next one.
