Only By Night
Jeff Mitchell, 2012
I have a new piece of art added to my shop. I was making a conscious decision to stray from portraits, when I realized that I just painted a portrait of the moon. I associate the night with mystery, excitement and creativity. So much of my art/writing was created in the night, so I guess this painting is an homage to my partner in crime, the moon.
Sneak peek at a section of my latest piece being prepared for the print shop. This one is titled “Only By Night” and will hit the store next week.
I’m planning on adding the option to pre-order, but I won’t have it ready for this print.
So… enjoy!
Punch-Drunk Love “In Sunlight”
Jeff Mitchell, 2012
Variation of the original “In Moonlight”, released in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of P.T. Anderson’s film “Punch-Drunk Love”.
This work (and many others) can be viewed here.
Punch-Drunk Love “In Moonlight”
Jeff Mitchell, 2012
The ten-year anniversary of Punch Drunk Love is coming, so I’m releasing prints of two separate paintings I’ve done for the P. T. Anderson flick. The first went up this morning, and the second will be up shortly.
You can see the listing for purchase here, and many other pieces of art here.
NEW WORK: This is a preview of my current work. I’ve always loved PT Anderson films, so I thought it would put my stamp on his work. I might do a whole series, which would be a great excuse to go back and watch some of my favorite films.
The Big Lebowski’s “Parlance of Our Times”
Jeff Mitchell, 2012
I’m only a few months late releasing this print. Had to rework several times. Add a ferret. Remove a ferret. The usual stuff.
I’m going to start carrying a few new Lebowski-related items in my shop. One of which is a card set based on my series of prints. The set will show up in the next few days, along with the newest print in the series based on John Goodman’s Walter character.
I’ll post a link here (and on Twitter) when the listing goes live.
