Only In Dreams
Jeff Mitchell, 2012I don’t even remember the moment when I decided I needed to paint Sigmund Freud. I’m not a student of Freud, but I know just enough about him to make him compelling. I thought his championing of Cocaine use as a tool for exploration of the mind was interesting. I like that he was brave and pioneering, like the old guys who broke speed records on motorcycles when people believed that you’d rip apart going faster than 55 mph.
